In 2006 Corey transitioned from hockey into the coaching world by becoming the goaltending coach for Hockey Canada. Scouting, selecting and training some of Canada’s best young goaltenders at the time including Montreal’s Carey Price, and Steve Mason. Colorado’s Jonathon Bernier, and St Louis goaltender Jake Allen. All have been widely successful at the NHL level.

While with Hockey Canada, Corey won two World Junior Gold Championships and a U-18 championship. His goaltenders also were named best goaltenders in each World tournament.

Corey was then soon hired by the Toronto Maple Leafs and was their goaltending coach for two seasons before being signed by the Blues. He spent 4 seasons with the St. Louis Blues before transitioning into his passion of television and radio broadcasting.

Corey has coached high end athletes in the NHL and was instrumental in their success. As a coach and consultant, Corey had to tailor his program according to each goaltenders needs while dealing with different personality in order to get the best performance from each individual.
